On October 27, 2020, I started and finished Genshin Impact Webtoon’s Chapter 12: Unshrouded Resolution Parts 1 and 2. The chapter gave a clear focus on Amber and Collei’s relationship now that the truth is out there. The chapter also focused on Kaeya and Diluc in the second part, revealing they have a plan for the Fauti—the true enemies.

While Collei admitted to causing the Black Fire Incident—acting “evil” in front of Amber—Amber didn’t buy it for a second and refused to give up on her new friend, remembering how Collei was willing to die by Kaeya’s ice to stop the demon within. My heart was being tugged in this moment, cementing my thoughts about these two girls being the main protagonists.

Amber and Collei went to Lisa for a solution, where they met with a new character—Lisa’s assistant from Academia—who has a plan to make the demon dormant within Collei. While not exactly the plan they were looking for—Amber was looking for a way to separate them—but Collei agreed to keep people safe.

On the Kaeya and Diluc front, there was a lot of exposition regarding the enemies and Collei’s demon, but it also proved Kaeya was a good guy the whole time. How they were drinking pure juice instead of alcohol was also hilarious. Diluc owns a tavern, but he hates alcohol.

I’m actually excited to see Kaeya and Diluc fight together soon. They’re going to make the Fauti pay for messing with their home. The artwork on both A and B plots were gorgeous, with Amber’s new design look growing on me. Like I hope the video game allows us to change their outfits at some point, so my Amber can wear the outfit she wore to the festival. It’s such a cute look on her!
