Genshin Impact “Chapter 13: Dual Recurrence” Webtoon Review
Major Spoilers are included in this Webtoon Review. Please read with caution.
On October 27, 2020, I started and finished Genshin Impact Webtoon’s Chapter 13: Dual Recurrence. This was the latest chapter translated on the Webtoon site, with there being at least three more chapters out there. Apparently, there are a total of 16 chapters in this mini-series. I’m hoping the rest of them get translated soon, but the video game will be more than enough Genshin Impact to keep me going.
Chapter 13 converged all the convoluted plots together in a quiet scene between Kaeya and the diplomat who lost two of his people in the Black Fire Incident. Kaeya told the diplomat that the Ordo Favonius is doing everything they can to capture the criminal and the traitor—Amber—helping her escape. Based on the last chapter, we know Kaeya is secretly trying to help Amber and Collei, using Diluc—disguised with a mask—as a distraction to give the girls time to seal the demon away.
The artwork was incredible with the demon sealing—giving me Naruto vibes—when Collei started showing black marks on her neck that resembled the Cursed Mark. Amber’s subtle nervousness was also conveyed subtlety—gripping her bow—through the artwork. The story and characters were finally getting somewhere on the latest episode available; why does this keep happening to me?
(My Hero Academia’s Chapter 288 and Tower of God’s Season 3 Episode 68).
The cliffhanger—on a literal cliff—made the story so interesting. While the plot was very difficult to follow since the beginning, how everything came together in this chapter to make sense helped a bit. Unfortunately, the “it’s all coming together” moment came too late especially with this being the last episode with no new one coming in sight. If you’re a fan of playing the Genshin Impact video game, I would still highly recommend reading this Webtoon for that beautiful fan-service and to grow closer to the characters.
Thanks for reading this Webtoon review, everyone! I really did enjoy my time reading this awesome Webtoon. Now I feel more informed and motivated to play Genshin Impact. Please let me know if y’all play the video game, blog readers. Maybe we can co-op together, sometime?
